    Hi,

I'm trying to get the SiteOrigin Google Maps to work but I'm having a weird issue.

I've setup the Google Maps JavaScript API and the API key as instructed but it will not show up on the website.

What is really weird, is if I login to WordPress and preview the Google maps through the plugin, it works.  Even more weird, if I logout from WordPress and go to the website, it now works !!!

However, it only works for that browser.  On the same computer, if I try with another browser, it doesn't work.  If I go through the same steps mentioned above, it will work.

My deductions is that the preview function in the plugin can successfully pass the API key to Google...but the website cannot.

Oh yeah, there's no errors on the website or in the Google console.

    Thank you.

    Hi there,

The browser return the following error of Google:

Geocoding Service: This API project is not authorized to use this API.
Please ensure this API is activated in the Google Developers Console

This means the Geocoding API is not activated yet. Please navigate to this link and enable the following map API's:

    - JavaScript API
    - Geocoding API
    - Geolocation API

After the API's are enabled the maps should be fully working on your website.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

    Best regards,
    Barry

    Thanks Barry!!!

The JavaScript API was enabled.  The other two were not.  After enabling Geocoding and Geolocation API, it worked.

If I'm not mistaken, this is not documented in your instructions.

Actually Barry, I think I figured out why this happened to me.

I did not use the link provided in your support desk article.  Since my websites are already hosted in Google Cloud Platform, I just went to my project and enabled the Google Maps JavaScript API.  Not realizing that I also had to enable other Map APIs.

If I follow your link provided in your support desk article, it brings me somewhere else and all the APIs are regrouped under one single enable.

So it was my mistake...sort of.

    Thanks !!!
