Can you walk me through each step to use the Demo Pictures shown in the Demo for the Front Page Slider?

Or alternately how do I add my own photos for this slider?

    Hi Patrick,

Of course I canPlease follow these steps below:

    1. Click on Pages and edit a page
    2. Set the page template to 'Front Page Fullwidth Slider' from the metabox on the right side of the page
    3. If you scroll a bit to the bottom of the page you will see the 'Front Page Slider' metabox
    4. Click the 'Add Slide' button in the top right bottom of this metabox and a new group field will appear
    5. Enter a topheader, heading and a image (to create more slides repeat step 4 and 5)
    6. Now save the page and your slider is ready.

Please upload images to the slider that are at least 1920 pixels in width.

    Best regards,
    Barry

I would like to use the Front Page — Front Page that is already created, but I can't seem to add pictures into Front Page Slider Section.  The URL box is greyed out and I can't add anything!

    Hi,

If you hover the placeholder images and click on the X icon (instead of the pencil) and then on the 'add image' button, will this work for you?

Edit:That seems okay Please hover the gray placeholders and click the X icon. Then you can click on 'add image' to select a image to display.

    Best regards,
    Barry

AND can I use the Pictures provided in the Demo?

    If so how?

    Barry replied

The images in our theme demo are not included in the theme package, unfortunately.

We are not allowed to do this due copyrights and licensing of the images. Also ThemeForest forbid us include them in the download package. All images are replaced with placeholders with image size. This is also described on the item page on ThemeForest.

If you need the images, we created a collection with all the images we used in our theme demo on the stock photography provider where we get them from. Please see this link: Theme Demo Images

    One more question:

What's the ideal size for the Logo?

    Barry replied

    Thank you for the compliment!

We used a logo image that's 245x90 pixels in size. The actual logo is not exactly that size due some white space around it. But if you keep your logo below 245x90 pixels that should be the ideal logo size.

    Barry

In the Content Section of the Front Page Slider, where do I change the color and page direction of these 2 buttons?

See attached area I'm talking about.

    Hi,

The buttons on the slider are made with the button shortcode you can use throughout the theme. That shortcode has some parameters you can use, for all available parameters please see the theme documentation part

The direction can be set in the href="" parameter. For example, if you want to link a button to your about us page the shortcode will be as follow:

    [button href="http://www.yourdomain.com/about-us"]Text on Button[/button]

The color of the buttons can be controlled via Appearance > Customize > Theme Options > Layout & Colors > Primary Color

OK, that changes the color of the 1st Button, what about changing the color of the 2nd Button?

    Barry replied

    Hi Patrick,

Do you mean the outline button? That button doesn't have a color control as it's a simple outline button. But if you want to adjust the colors for it on the slider you can use some CSS for it. You can add it via Appearance > Customize > Theme Options > Custom CSS

    .jumbotron .btn-outline { border-color: #fff; color: #fff; }

You can change the values to your own needs.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask

    Best regards,
    Barry
