Hi there, is it possible to add the ability to sort testimonials?
The problem is the generally when you add a new testimonial you would want it to display "first" on the page, so you can highlight the most recent testimonials. The way you have it setup now is that it adds the testimonial to the bottom of the list.
This results in the widget showing testimonials from the oldest to the newest, which isn't the best experience for the user that wants to see the latest testimonials.
In the default testimonial widget sorting is not possible, unfortunately.
But we created a testimonial plugin that will add a new tab in your admin menu where you can add the testimonials, just like a regular post. Sorting is possible with this by date. The layout and rest of the functionalities of the testimonials are exactly the same as the default widget.
The plugin will require a little bit of configuration to set-up and make it work. I can do this for you if you want.
I installed and configured the plugin for you. You can now add the testimonials under the 'Testimonials' tab and display them in the page builder with the 'QT: Testimonial Carousel' (instead of the default QT: Testimonials widget). On the homepage the new widget is below the old widget, so you can see the layout is exactly the same.
