Last question - hope - you have been so helpful. For a soft crop or hard crop even to get the News featured images the same size on the home page - do you have something for that. I tried adding a function "add_image_size" - but that did not seem to work.
The news featured images already get cropped with the add_image_size() thelandscaper-news-large and thelandscaper-news-small for mobile. The reason why the images are not the same size could be a couple of things:
- The images is uploaded in a smaller size than 848x448 px (the crop won't do its job then) - The proportion of images varies too much. (for example when a landscape or portrait image is uploaded with different sizes).
If you edit or add a new add_image_size you need to install the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin and run it via Tools -> Regen. Thumbnails, to regenerate all the images on the available image sizes.
