    Hi Barry hope you're well.
I have a little problem which I still cannot sort out. Can you please tell me what should be the settings so to display the background image on the (QT: Call to action banner) on the home page.

The default image is 1600x276 for this location of which I have copied on my image. The problem I have is that the image will not display correctly.

    1) Which location should the background image be added to. Is it the ROW or the Widget QT: Call to action banner?

    2) What should be the default setting both on the ROW and Widget i.e.

    (EDIT ROW)
Layout = Bottom Margin, Gutter, Padding, Row Layout, Collapse Order
    Design = Background Image Display

    (QT: Call to action banner)
    Layout = Padding
    Design = Background Image Display

I hope you don't mind me asking this question.

I will be also writing with regards to another issue and that is I'm having issues with displaying images on the Project Galleries that I have set up like yours from the demo theme.

Many thanks, hope to hear from you soon.

    Best Kevin.

    Hi Kevin

The background image should be added in the row background, not the widget. Then you need to set the background size of the widget to 'cover'. You can also add some padding to increase the height of the cta banner if you need that.

Please tell me the issue regarding the project galleries.

    Best regards,
    Barry

    Hi Barry,

Thank you for your help with regards to displaying background images on (QT: Call to action banner) All sorted.

What was confusing was that I uploaded the demo pages and thought the values that were already there was the correct ones. Your info was a great help.

    With regards to (project galleries)

    I have 2 issues!

1st is that I have produced 6 temp galleries using the Gallery Classic option that you had provided.and and associated them 2 each to 3 Portfolio Categories that I have set up. The problem is that the Portfolio Categories will not display within the filters under the main gallery. With regards to filters all I see is the mail filter (All Galleries) NO sub filters. I have associated each gallery to it's own Portfolio Categories, but nothing.

2nd issues, looking at your demo home page under (Project Galleries). There are 4 Portfolio Categories with images. What ever I do I cannot get any to display.
At the moment you cannot see the website as it is in maintenance mode, but happy to provide login if you wish to view.

    Hi Kevin

If you could provide me a login that would be great. I will take a closer look at the issues.

Please send them in a private comment so no one will see them.

    Thanks

By the way I have noticed the message (Hi! Please activate your copy of the Essential Grid to receive automatic updates & get premium support.) But it is activate!

    Cheers.

    Hi Kevin

If you switch to boxed you must set the row layout not to full width stretched. Else it will still calculate the screen width. If you set it back to default and the background size of the image to default your image will fit again.

I clicked the X icon on the Essential grid notice. The plugin doesn't need to be activated because it is coming with the theme. The notice will not be visible anymore.

For the Essential Grid issue; There wasn't a post type set in the Source tab of each grid. I selected the 'Gallery' post type again and selected the post categories to display. You can see the changes now on the home page and gallery page.

I will delete your message with the login credentials because this is an open ticket and the message is also open. So for safety I will remove that message :)

    Best regards,
    Barry

WOW Barry a big thank you.

With regards to just hitting or clicked the X icon , I wanted to do that but how my week has gone, I thought I'd better not.

On the Essential grid I'm sure I set the post type as you mentioned! What I did was try to follow your settings before I deleted the other galleries. I'm sorry I thought I'd done that.

With regards to the image. Sorry to be a pain but do you mean set the ROM LAYOUT to (standard) (padding to 0)? The only default option is (collapse Order).

Again thank you for your help.

    Best regards,
    Kevin

    Hi Kevin

If you edit the row, where the cta banner widget is located, and click on the 'Layout' panel set 'Row Layout' to 'Standard'

Then click the 'Design' panel below and set 'Background Image Display' to 'Tiled Image'

On this way you image will display properly.

    No problem, you're welcome.

    Best regards,
    Barry

    Hi Kevin

I see, the background doesn't get fit in the area. This is not possible with the page builder,
at least not in boxed layout.

I've made some changed to the CTA banner on your homepage and this is the only way to display the background entirely.

    Best regards,
    Barry

Thank you Barry, I can see that you added/changed the CSS Styles. I will keep a copy of that for future use.

Thank you again and have a nice weekend.

    All the very best,
