Quick question - I would really like to display 'featured posts' on the home page using the 'featured pages' widget - is this possible? If not is there a similar widget I can use?
Thanks Barry, am trying that but the latest posts widget always displays No Posts Found (whether in a page or sidebar). The category appears in the dropdown and there are 2 posts with featured images & excerpt with that category. Very odd!

This is not possible with the featured pages widget. It only allows you to feature pages, no posts.
What you could do is add an category to the posts you want to feature and use the QT: Latest Blog Posts to display them.
