    Hi Ben

    I just reproduced the situation and filled in the lat and longtitude from your given location but the location displayed properly (see attached screenshot).

    Also when I zoom in the google map on your website http://huemer.ben.at/ it displays the same location as given on the http://www.latlong.net/c/?lat=48.236379&long=16.413312

    How do you exactly mean \'completely off target\' ?

    Hi,

    sorry I was mistaken, Vienna was not visible from that zoom level.

    Hi Ben

    Maby you can try to switch the map styles. All the other ones than the \'Default\' style are custom map styles and may not be as detailed as the default style on that zoom level.
