I would definitely not recommend setting an auto approve for the comments. WordPress websites will receive a lot of spam comments over time and all those comments (including bad links to bad websites) will be visible on your website. There is even a chance you could be penalized by Google if your website contain links to such websites.
Instead you still want to set the comments to auto approve, you can do this under Settings -> Discussion and at the "Before a comment appear" section uncheck both checkboxes.
