I have a page where I show products using the html code below:
[recent_products per_page="8" columns="4"]
My problem is that I don't know how to make them show in a precise order on the page. I tried to change the menu order (see the green box in the screenshot attached) to make number one shows before 2 for example but with no good results.
The best option is not to use the shortcode but to use the WooCommerce setting to automatically generate your shop/product page.
1. Navigate to WooCommerce -> Settings
2. Click on the "Products" tab (horizontal tab)
3. At the "Shop" setting dropdown field make sure to select your "Shop" page (if you don't have a shop page yet you can create a blank page called shop under the pages admin tab).
4. Click on the "Advanced" tab (horizontal tab)
5. Repeat step 3 for the "Cart", "Checkout" and "My account" pages
6. Save the settings
Now if you go to your shop page your products should be visible on that page in order based on date. Please see the documentation link below for a screenshot of above settings.
