Please navigate to Appearance -> Customize -> Theme Options -> Header and set the "Header Layout" setting to "Sidebar". Then you can change the sidebar header color with the last setting in the same panel called "Background color"
To change the navigation links and submenu colors you can do this under Appearance -> Customize -> Theme Options -> Navigation
