Could not find answers on forum although must be a common question.
What is correct order of theme update and will it mess up with my home page widgets etc?
If i understand correctly, first, i update WP to 5.2.3,
second,i update theme to 1.9 vis envato plugin
third. i update each plugin by each?
My support expires soon and client can't afford to pay for support more, what i would do if i have questions? Is there any way to to get single support? or just reading public forum?
Do i even need to update theme and WP so frequently (once every 6 months)?
1. Update the WordPress core 2. Update the theme (with the Envato plugin or manually through FTP) 3. Update all plugins
Please note that the Advanced Custom Fields PRO need to be de-activated and deleted from the WordPress installation first in order to update the plugin. After deleting you can download the latest version via Appearance -> Install Plugins and the latest version should be visible in the list.
Unfortunately there is no option to purchase support separately without holding a theme license. Because we're selling exclusively on ThemeForest (Envato) we can't sell support licenses on our own and have to work on their infrastructure and policy.
If you want to have a support license yourself there are only 2 options:
- Ask your client to hand over the theme license to your ThemeForest account. If you're holding a theme license you can purchase additional support when it expire. Both of you need to get in touch with Envato Support to do this.
- Purchase a theme license with your own ThemeForest account.
I fully understand that the last point seems a bit absurd, but these are the only 2 options to get a support license yourself. As described above this is how Envato built their infrastructure and we can't do anything about this.
Keep everything updated to the latest version is very important. Not only to keep things working on your website but also for security. Updating the theme once every 6 months is fine but I really recommend to do the WP core and plugins more than that.

Thank you so much. Great work on theme guys!
Hi there,
There are 3 different ways to update the theme to the latest version although we only recommend to pick the first or second option from this article:
How-to: Update the theme
That should be the correct order:
1. Update the WordPress core
2. Update the theme (with the Envato plugin or manually through FTP)
3. Update all plugins
Please note that the Advanced Custom Fields PRO need to be de-activated and deleted from the WordPress installation first in order to update the plugin. After deleting you can download the latest version via Appearance -> Install Plugins and the latest version should be visible in the list.
