Hi, I installed WPML to have a multilingual site, and as I read, your theme is compatible with WPML. The problem I have is that the dropdown menu of languages is not appearing in the navigation bar, just appears my current language, but not the dropdown or the list of all available languages. I guess it's a problem of the theme rather than the WPML.
- Can you try to set the "language menu items style " option inside the language switcher settings to "List of languages", save it and then set it back to "Dropdown" - Did you tried the language switcher on a page which has been translated in to other languages?
If both points did not work for this issue could you provide me a login to the website? I need to take a closer look. Please toggle the "private" switch before sending your credentials.
Hi, thanks for the reply. As you said, the problem was that the page was not translated to other languages, sorry.
Another question, is it possible to put the WPML language switcher in another place different from the main navigation bar? I have tried to put it in the "Top bar" but it still appears in the main navigation bar. For me seems a bit confusing to have it in the main bar because the appearance of the dropdown looks like it's a section of the website like the other menu items rather than a switcher, it's not very intuitive to me. I attach a picture of it.
Do you have any suggestion of where to put the language switcher or how to restyle it to be more intuitive?
Sure, you can remove the current language selector from the WPML settings and manually add the widget to any of the theme widget locations, for example the topbar or the footer.
Please navigate to Appearance -> Widgets and add the language selector widget to the topbar for example.
Thank you for adding the screenshot. I see, most likely there are some styles changed in this language selector widget in a recent version of WPML which is causing this issue in the theme now.
If the z-index increase show the dropdown field properly you could use that. You can add the CSS via Appearance -> Customize -> Additional CSS.
If you want I can take a closer look to the website and provide you the CSS that's needed, but I need the url for the website.

Hi there,
Please check the following things:
- Can you try to set the "language menu items style " option inside the language switcher settings to "List of languages", save it and then set it back to "Dropdown"
- Did you tried the language switcher on a page which has been translated in to other languages?
If both points did not work for this issue could you provide me a login to the website? I need to take a closer look. Please toggle the "private" switch before sending your credentials.
Thank you.
Best regards,
Barry

Thanks for your help! For the moment I think I will put it as an horizontal list instead of a dropdown, it looks better and less informal.
Thanks for all!
Great! You're welcome
