In the Maps widget there is an option for directions. I filled it out with the exception of a starting point. It failed. I was assuming that is kept empty so they can put something in. I went back and put my own address in and it worked. I know I have to be missing something. I've attached a screenshot of what I put in originally. Is there a directions button that should be displayed on the map?
The direction functionality of the Google Maps widget will display the route from the start to the end point. There is no option to make this start point variable, like visitors can enter their own address and it will show the route, that's not possible unfortunately.
Please make sure you have enabled the 'Direction API' from Google Maps (link). It only requires a valid start and end address (screenshot) and it should work straight out of the box (screenshot).
I figured out a different way to make it work. I put the address into Google Maps, took the link and added it to the, "Marker Positions" box, then set, "When should the Windows be displayed" to Always. Now the map works for seeing the detailed map, but they can also do one click and get to the directions for Driving, Transit and Walking.
I also set the Visit our Location at the top of the page to become a link to the same location as the maps. This should help those using mobile devices.

It's cool that your theme gives you so many options. Please keep developing other themes! :-)

Great! I think that's even a better way to provide the route to the map.
Thank you for the compliment. We will definitely continue developing new themes
Best regards,
Barry
